Today marks the completion of another project known as Text to Color. Text to Color makes use of the fact that all characters used in a standard text file are encoded with a system known as ASCII. ASCII works by assigning a number (0 to 255) to every letter, number, punctuation mark...you get the idea.
Another thing to realize is that every color on a computer monitor is stored with three values - one for red, one for green, and one for blue. Each of these three values has a possible range from 0 to 255.
With this in mind, Text to Color comes center stage. Since each letter can be converted into a number, and three numbers make up a color, it's possible to convert a set of text into an image! Text to Color does just that, allowing you to encode whatever text you want to pass along as a secret message. Text to Color also decodes your images as well, so you don't have to look at colorful fuzz for the rest of your days.
Text to Color also makes use of its command line arguments, allowing you to simply drag a text file, a bitmap file, or a JPEG file onto the executable to be encoded or decoded.
