The Photon DLL
To test the Photon DLL, perform the following steps:
1.) Download the DLL to your computer from the Photon project page.
2.) In a new Visual Studio project, add a reference to the DLL by right clicking in the Solution Explorer and going to "Add" and then "Reference." Choose "Browse" to find your downloaded file.
3.) You are now ready to use the DLL. Create a PictureBox. The following VB.NET code will generate a simple graph:
Dim grapher as New Photon.GraphingCalculator
PictureBox1.Image = grapher.graph("x^2", PictureBox1.Width, PictureBox1.Height)
*Note that the picture will have a background color identical to that of the PictureBox. So, if you want a white background, change your PictureBox's background color to white.
It's that easy! Photon can also do things like calculate expressions and determine numeric integrals. These functions are documented in the DLL, so you'll be able to read about them while programming in Visual Studio.
